It's Official - The New Site is Up!

Despite some last-minute scrambling to get everything put together, my new Website is now up and running. Be sure to visit at www.freddyandthefrenchfries.com and let me know what you think at freddy@freddyandthefrenchfries.com. I can't wait to read what you think!

One of the coolest parts of the site is the Super Spud Showdown Action Game. You play it online - no registration or downloads required, unless you need Macromedia's Flash Player - and it's just amazing. Not many book or book character sites have something like this, so I hope you'll try it out. It's hard! You control Freddy (hey, that's me!) as you work to save the Burger Castle from Adam Spanker's Goon's paintballs. Check out the game at www.freddyandthefrenchfries.com/game.

I need to say "thanks" to some special people who helped make my Website possible: Daniel the Web guy, Deborah and Lynette in the office, Patrick, Marni at Kuma Digital, the folks at Little, Brown & Company, and, of course, my creators, David and Rudy. Thanks for everything! Let's do this again for the next book!

Enjoy the book first, then come by and visit the site. See you there!

Answer to "Where's Howie Kapowie?"

Well, did you get it right? The cheese cubes, when unscrambled, spell "purpulis enormosis." It wasn't much of clue, but then I figured out that Howie had followed quietly behind Wally to get something to eat. Wally could have been going to eat anything, of course, but Howie must have heard Wally talking about a hidden stash of cheese. He just can't resist cheese! When I finally caught up with Howie and Wally, they were sitting on a bench and eating a huge block of cheese they'd picked up at the supermarket.

So, mystery solved. Howie left me just enough of a clue for me to understand he was eating cheese with Wally.

The Countdown to June 1

I think some of you might already have been able to purchase my first book, Freddy and the French Fries in FRIES ALIVE! - although June 1 is the official publication date, some stores can sell the book a little early to eager fans. But for most of you, June 1 is the first date you'll be able to buy the book. It's also the date that my new Website at http://freddyandthefrenchfries.com goes live.

I CAN'T WAIT!

The Website is cool, that's all I can say. The action game - it's called "The Super Spud Showdown" - is fun, although I hate to see myself hit by those paintballs and losing my glasses. It happens enough in real life, with that Adam Spanker out to get me all the time.

But you should see the Fries! They're amazing! In real life, they're even better, but the Website sure comes close to showing them as they really are.

Since I can't stand the wait, let me send you to the "hidden" URL for the "Who's Who in Pookesville" section where you can take a look at the Fries yourself. Click over to http://freddyandthefrenchfries.com/whoswho.

That's it for now!

FRIES ALIVE! - My New Book is Coming

I can't believe it's only 11 days until Freddy and the French Fries in FRIES ALIVE! will be available for readers like you! (I checked the countdown on my Web site to be sure I had the time right - it's actually 11 days, 2 hours, and 16 minutes right now, but who's really counting?) You're gonna love my cool Fry friends! I can't really describe them, I can only recommend that you read the book and get to know them. Or you can visit my Web site on June 1 when the new, fully developed site will be unveiled.

I'll let you in on a little secret - if you'd like to see the new Web site in progress, point your browser to http://freddyandthefrenchfries.com/fullsite. This "hidden" directory contains links to the new site's pages and sections, including one called "The Freddy Club." Can you believe it - a club named after me? Adam Spanker, eat your heart out!

OK, I've told you more than I should have. If you visit the new site before June 1, just remember I didn't tell you anything about the "hidden" sections! :-)

Bye for now...
